What to expect

Do you find going to church intimidating?  Maybe it would help to know what is going to happen when you get there.  Milton has four main services during each week.  Here is a short explanation about each one of them.

The Lord’s Supper

On Sunday mornings we gather together to sing, pray and worship our God for the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ.  It is our privilege and desire to make this the start of each week.

the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.(1 Cor 11:23-26)

Ministry/Sunday school

Ever need some encouragement or maybe some sound biblical advice?  Each week a message is presented to the adults by the members of this church to help us was we walk through this life (Hebrews 3:12-15).  While the parents are listening to this message there is a program for the kids as well.  We split the kids up into groups by age and have an message just for them at their age and stage.

Gospel Meeting

We believe firmly that God has given us the privilege of letting others know the great blessing of knowing Jesus and what he has done for us (Matthew 26:18-20).  Sunday at 11:15 we take time out to teach the good news of God’s love to each of us from the word of God.  We believe that God loves us and wants us to be in heaven for all eternity.  How can we keep that to ourselves?

Prayer/Bible Study

In the middle of the week on Wednesday we get together to pray for each other and the church as a whole.  After a time of prayer we read a passage of the bible and discuss it to learn what God has said to us in his Word.

There is a complete schedule of events that you can check out here. You can even check to see who is speaking and what they are speaking about.
